Hazard warning light When the hazard warning switch is operated, battery voltage is switched via fuse 21 to the hazard warning light bulb on the LG/W wire,

Glow plug warning light - Diesel models Gives an indication that the glow plugs are working in pre- heat mode. When the glow plugs are operating in the pre-heat period, the warning light receives a 12 volt supply from the glow plug control unit on a W/S wire.

Low coolant/High temperature warning light - Diesel models Gives an indication that the coolant level is low or the engine is overheating. The low coolant switch in the expansion tank and the high temperature switch in the thermostat housing control the earth path for the warning light. Battery voltage to the warning lights is supplied from fuse 3 in the passenger compartment fuse box and if either of the two switches provides a path to earth on the B/S wire, the bulb will illuminate.

Seat belt warning light - Japan only The seat belt warning light receives battery voltage from fuse 3 in the passenger compartment fuse box on the G wire providing the starter switch is in position II. Whenever the seat belt is unlatched, the warning light illuminates as a result of receiving an earth on the B wire via the seat buckle switch on the B/G wire. The light extinguishes when the seat belt buckle is latched as a result of the earth path being broken.

Panel illumination Battery voltage is supplied from fuse 2 in the passenger compartment fuse box and earth is on the B wire. To ensure an even spread of light for panel illumination seven 1.12 W bulbs may be used, two in the top of the panel and five on the rear.
