Brake Rotor/Disc: Removal and Replacement

Front Rotor Remove/Install

Brake disc, front wheel

Note:  To achieve satisfactory braking, both brake discs should be changed at the same time.

To remove
1. Raise the car and remove the wheel.
2. Remove the brake hose from the clip.

3. Press the brake piston back, using a pair of slip-joint pliers.
4. Remove the two brake caliper retaining bolts. Suspend the brake caliper from the suspension strut, using a cable tie.
5. Remove the brake disc's locking screws.
