Rear Knuckle: Service and Repair
Drum Brakes

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove wheel assembly and brake drum.
3. Remove hub to knuckle attaching bolts, then remove hub.
4. Using wire, position brake assembly aside.
5. Loosen but do not remove lateral link and strut to knuckle attaching bolts.
6. Remove trailing arm to knuckle attaching nut, then arm to body bolts, then slide arm from knuckle.
7. Remove link and strut to knuckle attaching bolts, then remove link.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
