Rear Knuckle: Service and Repair
Disc Brakes
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel assembly
2. Disconnect ABS wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove caliper to knuckle attaching bolts. Suspend caliper with mechanics wire, then remove rotor.
4. Remove hub to knuckle attaching bolts, then remove hub and backing plate.
5. Loosen but do not remove lateral link to knuckle attaching bolts.
6. Loosen but do not remove strut to knuckle attaching bolts.
7. Remove trailing arm to knuckle attaching nut, then arm to body bolts.
8. Remove lateral link to knuckle attaching nuts, then remove knuckle to strut bolts, remove knuckle.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
