DISASSEMBLE

1. Using spring compressor tool No. SA9155C, or equivalent, and a suitable holding fixture, compress spring to unload upper strut mount.
2. While holding strut shaft, remove strut shaft nut.
3. Release spring compressor, then tilt strut assembly outward.
4. Remove upper strut assembly, check for damage. replace as required.
5. Remove strut spring and dust shield; inspect for damage and replace as required.
6. Remove strut from holding fixture.

ASSEMBLE

1. Place strut in compressor tool, then attach with strut to knuckle bolt, through lower mounting hole.
2. Extend strut shaft to travel limit.
3. Install dust shield, spring, spring isolator and mount, ensure spring is properly seated in seat and isolator.
4. Compress spring, then install strut shaft attaching nut and tighten to specifications.
