9.

Remove the room light switch by removing the 2 bolts, 1 nut, and bracket from the drive gear.

10.

Remove the sliding roof drive gear assembly.

11.

Remove the drive cable and drive cable guide casing by removing the 12 nuts.

NOTE:

Be careful NOT to twist or damage the drive cable and guide casing during removal.

Remove the sliding roof drive cable.

A.

Using the T25 Torx driver, remove the 2 Torx screws.

B.

Remove the 2 Phillips-head screws.

C.

Disconnect the drive cable from the lift guide.

D.

Slide the drive cable toward the rear of the vehicle and remove it.

NOTE:

When removing the drive cable, be careful NOT to damage the side airbag, wire harness, and other nearby parts.

13.

Remove the sliding roof cable guide casing.
