b. Remove the 11 bolts and the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.

5. INSPECT CURTAIN SHIELD AIR BAG ASSEMBLY LH
6. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIR BAG ASSEMBLY LH

a. Install the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with the 11 bolts.

Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

b. Connect the connector to the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.

NOTE:  When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

7. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
8. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

When disconnecting the battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the terminal is reconnected.

Power window control system

-

Sliding roof system

9. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

Curtain Shield Air Bag Assy LH Disposal

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

When scrapping a vehicle equipped with the SRS or disposing of the curtain shield airbag assembly LH, be sure to deploy the airbag first in
accordance with the procedure described below. If any abnormality occurs with the airbag deployment, contact the SERVICE DEPT. of TOYOTA
MOTOR SALES, USA, INC.
