5th gear mobile sleeve and synchromesh: disassembly and assembly > < Removing

Installation
Installation
–  Insert 5th gear mesh.
   
l  5th gear sprocket installation position: the upper collar -arrow- should be orientated towards the gearbox casing cover.

–  Fit the following components one after the other:
1 - Needle bearing bush for the 5th gear mobile pinion
2 - 5th speed selector gear
3 - Synchromesh ring of 5th gear:
4 - Mobile sleeve with 5th gear synchromesh:

Determine the thickness of the fixing rings of the 5th gear
–  Fit the 5th gear prong -2- and insert the support pin -1- to the limit in -the direction of the arrow-.
–  Decide the safety ring -arrow- of greatest thickness that can be fitted in the gap of the primary shaft -3- and the secondary shaft -4-. Part numbers → Parts catalogue.
–  Install in reverse order to dismantling, but note following:
–  Top up gear oil and check oil level → Chapter.
