| Move the clutch release lever in the opposite direction to activation -arrow-, approximately 10 mm. The clutch release lever should move freely. |

| To avoid premature clutch cable replacement take note of the following during the checking operations: |

| Action the clutch at least 5 times before repeating the functioning checks |
t
| Wait for the moment when the clutch release lever cannot be moved in the opposite direction to actioning before setting up the clutch cable adjustment mechanism |
If the adjustment mechanism cannot be checked as described in → Chapter it may be out of service due to mistreatment (e.g. if it has been connected to the clutch release lever too tense). |
Symptom: The clutch release lever on the gearbox connot move in the opposite direction to actioning even after pushing the pedal several times. |
A non-functioning adjustment mechanism makes the clutch drag and thus wear prematurely. |
