Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required

–  Switch off engine
  Note
On starting the test, the temperature of the ATF should not exceed approx 30° C.
l  The gearbox should not have the emergency function activated, the temperature of the ATF should not exceed approx 30° C.
l  The vehicle should be in a horizontal position.
l  Selector lever must be in position “P”.
Connect the equipment and continue until it is ready to function
–  Select Guided functions in the right hand margin.
–  Next select vehicle, gearbox and Check ATF level.
–  Press the key.
–  Start the engine.
–  Raise the vehicle.
–  Fit tray -T20173- beneath gearbox.
–  Press the key.
When the temperature displayed is between 35°C and 45°C:
  N34-10476
–  Remove the ATF level test plug located in the oil sump.

The ATF left in the overflow tube comes out.
If ATF comes out through the opening:
it is not necessary to add ATF.
–  Tighten the sealing screw with a new seal, to a torque of 15 Nm. This concludes the ATF test.
If ATF does not come out through the opening:
–  oil must be topped up. → Chapter
