Checking and topping up ATF level

Please also observe the notes. t  About this workshop manual → Chapter t  for ATF → Anchor t  for »filling tube« → Anchor t  Breather pipe of adapter for oil filling -VAS 6262 A- may need to be shortened → Anchor. Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Extractor -SAT 1100-, see equivalent → Anchor

t	Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-, see equivalent → Anchor

t	Adapter for oil filling -VAS 6262 A- with -VAS 6262/4-

t  Adapters -VAS 6262/2- t  Central diagnosis -VAS 505X- Shortening breather pipe of adapter for oil filling -VAS 6262 A-:

–  In order to ensure that the breather pipe of the adapter for oil filling -VAS 6262 A- does not contact the bottom of some oil bottles, the pipe must be shortened to the length -a-. Dimension -a- = 210 mm   Note The dimension -a- is measured from the shaft (green area in the counting glass) of the adapter for oil filling -VAS 6262 A-.

–  Mark dimension -a- on the breather pipe and shorten pipe with pipe cutter -VAS 6056/2-. If ATF oil must be added, use only ATF available in the → Electronic spare parts catalogue.

–  If the ATF level is checked the seal -arrow- on the ATF level plug must always be renewed.
