t  Brake bleeder -SAT 1175B-, see equivalent → Anchor
  Note
t  After carrying out work on the hydraulic clutch mechanism, the system must be bled.
t  When performing the following operations, care must be taken not to spill brake fluid onto the longitudinal member or gearbox.
t  Before bleeding the brake fluid tank must be filled to the “max” mark.
t  Brake fluid specification → Brake system; Rep. Gr.47.
Operation process

–  Loosen the engine cover at the locations -arrows- and remove.

t  When working on the electrical system when some electrical consumers are active, such as brake bleeder -SAT 1175B-, a battery charger with “support function” must be connected to the battery to prevent damage to the battery → Electrical system, general information; Rep. Gr.27.

t  On vehicles with battery in the luggage compartment, connect the brake bleeder -SAT 1175B- to the earth point and positive terminal in the engine compartment as shown in the illustration.
–  Connect brake bleeder -SAT 1175B- to brake fluid reservoir, but do not start.

–  Remove protection hood on the venting valve -arrow- and connect the hose -A- of air bleeding bottle to the venting valve.
–  Connect and switch on the bleeding equipment → Operating instructions of the brake bleederSAT 1175B.
l  Working pressure: 2.0 bar overpressure
–  Open venting valve with the tube of the air bleed bottle attached and let it bleed some 100 cm3 of brake fluid.
–  Close venting valve.
–  Quickly operate pedal assembly from limit to limit 15 times.
–  Open air bleeding element bolt and bleed another 50 cm 3 of brake fluid.
–  Tighten breather valve to 4.5 Nm
–  Once the air bleeding operation is completed, operate the clutch pedal several times.
–  Bleed the system once more if necessary.
–  Remove the bleed hose and fit the protection hood.
–  Remove Brake bleeder -SAT 1175B- from brake fluid reservoir.
