  Note
t  Fix gearbox to installation stand.
t  Always consult technical data when installing new pinions .
t  Fit all of the input shaft bearings with gear oil.
   
1 - Securing ring
2 - Gearbox
q   Flattened location on the grooved ball bearing and on its mount → Fig.
q   Component allocation → Spare parts catalogue
3 - Securing ring
q   If the ball bearing → Item and the input shaft → Item is replaced then → Fig. must be re-established
4 - Grooved ball bearing
q   Remove → Fig.
q   Insertion → Fig.
q   Flattened location on the grooved ball bearing and on its mount → Fig.
5 - Sprocket of 5th gear
q   Releasing → Fig.
q   Installation position: the groove -arrow- should point to the ball bearing → Item
q   Insertion → Fig.
6 - Input shaft:
q   With pinion for 3rd / 4th and 6th gear
7 - Cylindrical roller bearing
q   Circlip
q   Remove → Fig.
q   Insertion → Fig.
q   Installation position: the securing ring should be facing towards the input shaft
8 - clutch housing

   
With flattened location on the grooved ball bearing -A- and on its mount -B- in the gearbox housing
When flattened locations are present, washers must not be mounted on the top nor on the bottom of the ball bearing .
