t  Final measurement plate -VW 385/17-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Universal dial gauge support -VW 387-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Pressure plate -VW 401-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Pressure plate -VW 402-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Terminal crimper -VW 408 A-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Terminal crimper -VW 412-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
t  Thrust plate -30-205-
t  Extractor tube -30-14-
t  Pipe section -2040-, see equivalency → Anchor

t  Dial gauge

It is necessary to readjust the differential when the following components are renewed:
t  Gearbox
t  clutch housing
t  Differential casing
or the
t  Tapered roller bearing of differential
   
–  Insert the outer ring of the roller bearing (crown side) into the gearbox casing
  Note
Inner and outer tapered roller bearing races are paired. Do not interchange.

–  Insert the outer ring of the conical roller bearing (opposite side to crown) into the clutch hosing without the shim.
–  Insert differential in gearbox housing.
–  Fit the torque converter casing on top of the clutch and tighten 5 bolts to the corresponding torque → Item.

–  Fit the gauge and set to „0“ with a pretension of 1 mm.
A  - 30 mm gauge extension
–  Adjust the dial gauge to „0“ with a pre-tension of 1 mm.
–  Move differential up and down. Read and note play indicated on dial gauge. (Example: 1.50 mm) is located behind the plug.
