Shim calculation table
The specified pre-tension for the bearing is obtained by adding a constant pressure value (0.35 mm) to the measured value.
Example:
   
Average value1.50 mm
+ Preload (constant value)0.35 mm
Thickness of shim =1.85 mm

   
–  Remove the clutch housing and release the outer ring of the conical roller bearing -A-.
B  - Internal remover 46... 58 mm, e.g. -Kukko 21/7-
–  See → Electronic catalogue of spare parts „ETKA“ to allocate thrust rings.
The various thicknesses make it possible to achieve the exact shim thickness required.
If the thickness required for the thrust ring is greater than that indicated in the → Electronic catalogue of spare parts„ETKA“, 2 rings with a total thickness equal to the required thickness may be used.
–  Add the adjustment disc with the determined strength (in the example 1.85 mm) and press the external ring of the sphere roller bearing into the clutch casing.
–  Fit the torque converter casing on top of the clutch and tighten the bolts to the corresponding torque → Chapter.
