Measuring and adjusting distance between propshaft and steering box

After every repair on the vehicle that has an influence on the position of the propshaft, adjust distance -a- between propshaft and steering box.

Arrow points forwards in driving direction.

–	To measure distance -a-, unscrew heat shield above steering box and place it to one side.

–	To adjust, undo the gearbox mounting (engine/gearbox at top on body) and press engine/gearbox forwards or backwards until the distance is 22 mm.

–	Check the gearbox mounting if a minimum distance of 17 mm is not achieved.
