Renewing viscous coupling oil seal in rear final drive (final drive installed)

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Oil seal extractor lever -VW 681-

t	Pressure piece -3339-

Removing

–	Remove viscous coupling → Chapter.

–	Place drip tray underneath.

–	Pull out oil seal using -VW 681-.

Do not damage edge of seat when pulling.

Installing

–	Drive in new oil seal to stop.

Half-fill space between sealing lip and dust lip with grease -G 052 128 A1-.

–	Install viscous coupling.

–	Check rear final drive oil → Chapter.
