What is a component?
It has an extensive scope. It enables the mechanic to repair a gearbox without having to sell the customer an exchange gearbox.
In addition to the many individual parts, six repair components are also available for gearbox repair.
The components are allocated according to gearbox codes and can be ordered via the → Electronic parts catalogue“ETKA”.
This part always includes:
t  a valve body
t  the ATF cooler
t  and the ATF strainer.

The various components
In addition, the repair component always included the coupling element which was determined to be defective in guided fault finding and in the examination of coupling elements → Chapter.
Thus, either a clutch or a brake is included.
The differences in the components are:
   
-B1 - Reverse gear and 1st gear brake
q   Multi-disc brake
-B2 - 2nd, 4th and 5th gear brake
q   Multi-disc brake
-B3 - 1st through 4th gear and reverse gear brake
q   Band brake
-K1 - 1st through 3rd gear clutch
-K2 - Reverse gear clutch
This clutch is available as a part only together with the K3 clutch.
-K3 - 3rd through 5th gear clutch
This clutch is available as a part only together with the K2 clutch.
-K4 - 5th gear clutch
q   With freewheel 2 for 1st to 4th gear.
