Removing
   
–  Secure bracket -T10131- to support plate -VW 309-.
–  Set rear final drive on support plate -T10131- and screw in bolts -arrows A-.
–  Screw in bolt -arrow B- (M 12 with 1.5 mm pitch, about 30 mm long) from beneath.
–  Place drip tray -V.A.G 1306- underneath.

–  Now remove all securing nuts for pinion housing -arrows-.

Figure shows only 3 of the nuts.

–  Remove pinion housing, screwing in bolts -A- evenly so that housing does not cant.

–  Then remove O-ring -A-.
