Renewing flange shaft oil seals with gearbox and bevel box installed > < Renew O-rings

Dismantling and assembling procedure → Chapter
1)  Adjustment work is required if these components are renewed → Chapter
   
1 - Hexagon nut, 475 Nm
q   Unscrewing → Anchor
q   Fitting → Anchor
q   Always renew
q   Insert with locking fluid -D 000 600-
2 - Output flange → Note
3 - Seal
q   Replace only with bevel box removed → Chapter
4 - Outer tapered roller bearing for shaft bevel gear → Note
Inner race:
q   Place in outer race.
Outer race:
q   Pressing out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Anchor
5 - Bolt, 25 Nm
6 - Pinion housing → Note
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Installing → Anchor
q   Do not cant when installing. Tighten securing bolts diagonally and in stages.
7 - O-ring
q   Always renew
q   Must lie in circumferential groove
q   Coat with gear oil when installing
8 - Shim S4
q   Note thickness
q   Adjustment overview → Chapter
q   Fit onto shaft bevel gear ( → Item) before installing seal ( → Item) and before inserting inner race of outer tapered roller bearing ( → Item).
9 - Inner tapered roller bearing for shaft bevel gear → Note
Inner race:
q   Pulling off → Anchor
q   Pressing on → Anchor
Outer race:
q   Pulling out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Anchor
10 - Shaft bevel gear → Note
q   Is paired to bevel gear (with stub shaft)
q   Clean thread
q   Adjusting → Chapter
11 - Shim S3
q   Note thickness
q   Adjustment overview → Chapter
12 - Roller sleeve
q   Pulling out → Anchor
q   Pulling in → Fig.
13 - Sleeve for oil supply
q   Pulling out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Fig.
14 - O-ring
q   Always renew
15 - Sleeve for oil supply
q   Pulling out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Fig.
16 - O-ring
q   Always renew
17 - Bolt, 35 Nm
18 - O-ring
q   Always renew
q   Must lie in circumferential groove
19 - Small cover → Note
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Do not cant when installing. Tighten securing bolts diagonally and in stages
20 - O-ring
q   Always renew
q   Must lie in circumferential groove
q   Coat with gear oil when installing
21 - Connecting piece for differential
q   Pulling off → Anchor
q   Pressing on → Anchor
q   Transfer when renewing bevel box
22 - Shim S2
q   Note thickness
q   Adjustment overview → Chapter
23 - Small tapered roller bearing for supporting bevel gear with stub shaft → Note
Inner race:
q   Sits loosely on input shaft
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Installing → Anchor
Outer race:
q   Sits loosely in final drive housing
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Installing → Anchor
24 - Final drive housing → Note
q   Drain oil then and secure bevel box on assembly stand using gearbox support -T10108- → Chapter.
25 - Bevel gear with stub shaft → Note
q   Paired with shaft bevel gear ( → Item)
q   Cannot be pressed off input shaft.
q   Adjusting → Chapter
26 - Large tapered roller bearing for supporting bevel gear with stub shaft → Note
Inner race:
q   Pressing off → Anchor
q   Pressing on → Anchor
Outer race:
q   Pulling out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Anchor
27 - Shim S1
q   Note thickness
q   Adjustment overview → Chapter
28 - Large cover → Note
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Do not cant when installing. Tighten securing bolts diagonally and in stages
q   Apply sealant -AMV 188 200 03- to sealing surface.
29 - Bolt, 55 Nm
30 - Oil drain plug, 60 Nm
q   With magnet and seal
31 - Deep groove ball bearing
q   Pressing out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Anchor
32 - Retaining ring
q   Always renew
q   Removing → Anchor
33 - Seal
q   Pry out with lever
q   Drive in to stop with thrust piece -T10106- → Chapter
q   Renewing with gearbox installed → Chapter
34 - Thrust washer
q   Renew if damaged
q   Installing → Chapter
35 - Compression spring
q   Installed behind right flange shaft → Item
36 - Right flange shaft
37 - Countersunk bolt, 25 Nm
q   For right flange shaft → Item to differential of gearbox
