Installing
Installing
   
–  Drive in new seal to stop, being careful not to cant seal.
–  Half-fill space between sealing lip and dust lip with grease -G 052 128 A1-.
–  Insert flange shaft.
–  Secure flange shaft using countersunk bolt and tighten to specified torque → Item.

–  Assemble threaded connection between left wheel bearing housing and lower suspension link -arrow- → Running gear, axles, steering - front and four-wheel drive; Rep. Gr.40.

–  Attach left coupling rod to anti-roll bar -arrow-. → Running gear, axles, steering - front and four-wheel drive; Rep. Gr.40.
–  Bolt left drive shaft to flange shaft. → Running gear, axles, steering - front and four-wheel drive; Rep. Gr.40.
–  Fit wheel. → Running gear, axles, steering - front and four-wheel drive; Rep. Gr.44.
–  Check oil in gearbox with bevel box → Chapter.
–  Install noise insulation, if fitted. → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. Gr.66
