Check the oil level in the bevel box

Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-, see equivalent → Anchor

t	Tray -T20173-, see equivalent → Anchor

Prerequisite:

l	The vehicle should be in a horizontal position.

l	The bevelled gear must be positioned in its fitting position.

–	Raise the vehicle.

–	Remove centre sound insulation → Bodywork, exterior installation work; Rep. gr.50.

–	Place the tray -T20173- under the bevelled gear.

–	Remove oil filler plug -arrow- in bevel box. Always renew bolt.

The oil level is correct when the bevelled gear is filled up to the lower edge of the fill hole.

–	If necessary, top up with oil → Chapter.

–	Screw in the oil fill screw -arrow- and tighten → Anchor.
