Gear change prongs: Repair > < Seal gear selection mechanism - replacement

Operation process
Operation process
–  Remove engine cover → Booklet101.
–  Remove the air filter housing, the air hose and the air conduit hoses → Rep. gr.24 and → Rep. gr.23.
Metal idler rod
   
–  Detach safety clip -2- and, applying pressure, extract idler rod to one side -3-, removing it from its housing.
Plastic idler rod:
–  Remove the idler rod together with the cable fastener → Chapter
Continued for all vehicles
–  Unscrew nut -4- and remove selector rod -1-.

–  Remove seal by levering with extractor -T20143/1 -.
  A34-0635
–  Insert with an tappet -T20153 -.
Rest of installation is carried out in the reverse sequence, observing the following:

The selector rod may only be fitted in one position. Tightening torque → Item
–  Fit the battery → Rep. gr.27.
