Oil filter: replace
  Note
t  It is not always necessary to replace the oil filter.
t  When the oil filter has to be changed → Anchor.
Removal:
–  Put the gear selector lever into position »P«.
–  Remove the air filter → Rep. gr.24.
–  Remove the battery together with the battery tray → Rep. gr.27.
  Note
t  There are still oil remnants in the filter. This oil escapes when unscrewing the filter.
t  Before unscrewing the oil filter, cover the area around the filter with a few cloths.
   
–  First release the filter housing -arrows- by 7 turns.
–  Wait about 10 seconds.
This allows the oil to return to the gearbox from the filter casing.
–  Now remove the filter housing and oil filter.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. The following must be taken into account:
–  Thoroughly clean the area around the gearbox that has been soiled with oil.
  N34-10163
–  Install the oil filter with collar -arrow- facing downwards.
–  Screw in and tighten the oil filter to 20 Nm.
The remaining installation steps are carried out in the reverse sequence.
–  Check the oil level and top-up if necessary → Chapter.
