Special tools and workshop equipment required

  • ◆ VW 681 Extractor lever

  • ◆ 3339 Thrust piece

Removing

  • ‒ Removing viscous coupling .
  • ‒ Place drip tray underneath.
  • ‒ Pull seal out with VW 681.

Do not damage seat edge when pulling out.

Installing

  • ‒ → Drive new seal onto stop.
  • ‒ Fill gap between sealing and dust lips with multi-purpose grease.
  • ‒ Install viscous coupling.
  • ‒ Checking rear final drive oil
