Preparations for the assembly of the rear window
  Note
When splitting the adhesive bead on the dismounting of disc, damage was caused to the metal sheet flange, the varnish must be restored according to the vehicle repair guide „vehicle paint work“
If you are reusing an undamaged window:
–  During re-use of an intact disc smoothly cut the remaining material of the adhesive seal material on the disc and on disc flange with the electric knife -SAT 1561A- and the scraper 129/105 -SAT 1561/7 8- but in no case completely remove
–  The remaining material serves as a bonding surface when applying the new adhesive sealing material.
  WARNING
t  Keep the gluing surface free from dirt and grease.
t  Trim the gluing surface just before fitting.
t  Do not apply primer to the gluing surface, or treat with solvents.
  Note
Exception: if gluing is not accomplished immediately after cutting back, it is necessary to activate the remaining bid with the glass activator -D 181 801 A1-.
If installing a new window:
–  Clean the bonding area of the disc with cleaning solvents -D 009 401 04- and apply a layer of primer/varnish on Glass -D 009 200 02-

Sealer
–  Apply the primers for glass / paint -D 009 200 02- with the applicator -D 009 500 25--1- in the centre of the markers uniformly on the whole.
–  Thus the distance to the edge of disk measure is defined. -b-
–  Correct primer width (dimension -a-) is ensured by the markings on the window.
–  The applicator must be fully wet at the -D 009 500 25- at the beginning of the order.
Drying time, approx. 10 minutes
  WARNING
The ceramic coating on the glass is not a primer. The glass must always be primed before applying adhesive sealant.
  Note
Do not "rework" primer strip until it has dried completely.
