  WARNING
Vehicles with leather equipment must not be fitted with standard (cloth covered seats) heater elements.
There is a danger of the seat heating overheating.
Removal:
  Note
Before working with the airbag system, always read the safety precautions → Chapter.
–  With ignition switched off, disconnect earth connection from battery.
–  Remove the front seat → Chapter.
  Note
Ensure that side airbag adapter -VAS 5232- remains connected during the entire removal procedure.

–  Clamp the front seat in the bracket for the seat repair -T20172/5-.
–  Remove the front seat back → Chapter.
–  Remove the front seat bench upholstery and padding → Chapter.

–  Pull heater element -1- off padding-2-.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
–  Align heating element on seat surface, remove backing foil and glue heating element to padded surface on the seat.
