Upper C-pillar trim, commercial vehicles: Removing and installing.

Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-
t  Release lever -T20043-
t  Release lever -U 30800-

t  Upper C-pillar trim, commercial vehicles: Removing → Anchor
t  Upper C-pillar trim, commercial vehicles: Fitting → Anchor

  Note
The procedures for removal and assembly described below correspond to the upper lining of strut C on the left. The procedures for the upper lining of strut C on the right side are similar.
–  Open the tailgate.
–  Remove rear shelf and folding storage.
–  Remove storage bracket → Anchor
–  Place the lever -U 30800- in the notch on the diffusion glass and carefully lever out the luggage compartment light -9-.
–  Unplug connector -10-.
–  Remove bolts -3-.
–  Detach lining -1- from the clip fasteners -2- and -4- using the lever -T20043- and remove the lining.

Upper C-pillar trim, commercial vehicles: Fitting
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, note the following:

Before replacing upper panelling on C-pillar, prepare new part in accordance with instructions below.
–  Remove the fastening clips of the upper trim of the C-pillar .
–  Place the upper trim of the C-pillar temporarily on the vehicle body.
  WARNING
Wear gloves and eye protection for safety reasons.
   
–  As viewed from the rear side -1- of the plate carrier -3-, mark the position of the opening -2- with a punch on the rear side of the trim. Remove the upper trims from the C-pillar .
–  Use the finished marking as the centre and cut out the opening in the trim for the protrusion of the storage brackets.
  Note
t  Before fitting the lining check the condition of the clips and replace if necessary.
t  After installation, check that trim is behind beading of door seal.
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
