Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Retaining plate -VW 309-
t  Clamping frame -VW 313-
t  Gearbox support -VW 353-
t  Engine and gearbox support -VW 540-
t  Workshop crane -VAS 6100-
t  Transportation tool -T40013-

   
Securing gearbox in vertical position
–  Secure gearbox to assembly stand with bolts -1- and -2-.
–  Screw the gearbox support -VW 353- to the retaining plate -VW 309-.

–  Insert gearbox into support clamp -VAS 6100- using workshop hoist -VW 313-.
  WARNING
The gearbox centre of gravity does not coincide exactly with the rotational centre of the support frame. A second mechanic has to hold the gearbox housing when it is being turned to prevent it from swinging round.

Securing gearbox in horizontal position
–  Secure gearbox to engine and gearbox support -VW 540--arrows-.
–  Insert gearbox into support clamp -VAS 6100- using workshop hoist -VW 313-.
  WARNING
