Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-, see equivalent → Anchor
  L00-10226
t  Socket -U-30025E -, see equivalent → Anchor
Removal:
  Caution
Risk of damaging the engine cover.
When removing, the instructions given below should be followed in the order shown.
–  Remove the engine cover and the air filter housing → Rep. gr.24.
–  Remove battery → Rep. gr.27.

–  Remove battery tray -arrows-.

–  Fit the engine and gearbox support -U 30025E- on wing panel flanges and protect them against possible scratches.
–  Partly take up weight of engine with spindle, but do not lift.
  Note
The gearbox support assembly does not have to be removed when removing the gearbox mounting.

–  Unscrew the bolts-2- for loosening the gearbox support assembly and remove the gearbox supports.
–  Unscrew and remove the bolt -1- .
–  Carefully lower the engine/gearbox assembly via the spindles.
–  Remove the gearbox support -A-.
Removing gearbox mounting:
  A37-0653
–  Dismount all the necessary pieces to obtain access to the bolts -1-.
–  Unscrew bolts -1-.
–  Remove bevel box carrier -A-.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order. The following must be taken into account:
l  Tightening torques → Chapter
  A37-0685
When the gearbox support -A- is removed:
–  Fit the gearbox support -A-.
–  Secure gearbox mounting -A-.
–  Pull up the gearbox when using the spindle of the support bracket until gearbox support contacts support arm of gearbox mounting.
–  Fir the screw and -2- screw-in.
  Caution
The threads in the gearbox support can be damaged if the bolts are not inserted straight.
Before tightening the bolts -2-, the gearbox support and the support arm of the gearbox mounting must be positioned absolutely parallel to each other. If necessary, push the gearbox up at the rear with a trolley jack.
–  Adjust assembly mountings → Rep. gr.10.
–  Remove the support -U30025E - from the engine.
