Installation position

• ● → The angled retainer -arrow- must located in cut-out on cylinder head.

Conditions

• ● The engine must not be more than warm to the touch.

Test sequence

• ‒ Set the engine to TDC No. 1 cylinder.

• ‒ → Press hard with thumb on toothed belt. The indicator -2- must move.
• ‒ Release toothed belt and turn crankshaft two turns in engine direction of rotation until the engine is again at TDC No.1 cylinder. When doing this it is important that the last 45° (1/8 turn) is performed without stopping.
• ‒ The tensioning roller must return to its original position. (Notch -1- and indicator -2- are again aligned).

Note:

For checking use a mirror.
