Haldex Clutch: removing and fitting Removing → Anchor. Fitting → Anchor. Tightening torque → Anchor. Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor Removing –  Remove the rear section of the exhaust system → Rep. Gr.26.   Note Do not bend the exhaust system decoupling element more than 10 °, otherwise it may break. –  Remove the rear flexible disc → Chapter.

–  Disconnect the connector -2- on the four-wheel drive control unit -J492-.

–  Place the drip tray -VAS 6208- under the final group. –  Unscrew the drain plug-A- and allow the high performance oil for Haldex clutches to completely drain → Parts catalogue. –  Screw in the drain plug-A- after installing a new seal and tightening it to 30 Nm.

–  Unscrew the attachment bolts -arrows- and separate the Haldex clutch from the rear final group.

–  Remove the O-ring -arrow- from the Haldex clutch. Fitting Installation is carried out in reverse order, noting the following:

–  Install a new O-ring -arrow- and lightly oil it with high performance oil for Haldex clutches → Parts catalogue.   Caution The O-ring can be damaged during assembly. The clutch should be handled with care to ensure that it fits correctly.

–  Install the Haldex clutch in the rear final group. –  Tighten the bolts -arrows- to the required torque → Anchor.

–  Connect the connector -2- on the four-wheel drive control unit -J492-. –  Fit the rear flexible disc → Chapter. –  Install the exhaust system free of stress → Rep. Gr.26. –  Add high performance oil for Haldex clutches → Parts catalogue once more and compare the oil level → Chapter. Tightening torque
