| Commissioning of air conditioning system after filling refrigerant circuit |

| Only start engine after refrigerant circuit has been assembled. |

| If possible, only start engine when refrigerant circuit is filled. |
| t
| The air conditioner compressor has an „internal oil circuit“ to ensure the compressor is not damaged when refrigerant circuit is empty. A prerequisite for the internal lubrication is residual refrigeration oil in the air conditioner compressor. |
| t
| Do not start the engine unless the refrigerant circuit has been properly assembled. If, for example, the refrigerant lines are not connected to the air conditioner compressor and the engine is running, the compressor may heat up so much through internal warming that it will be destroyed. |
| t
| All removed components have been reinstalled. |
| Should it be necessary to start the engine with an empty refrigerant circuit, please observe the following: |
| t
| The refrigerant circuit must be fully assembled. |
| t
| There must be no underpressure in the refrigerant circuit. |
| t
| At least ¼ of the quantity of refrigeration oil specified for this refrigerant circuit must be in the air conditioner compressor. |
| t
| The engine speed must not exceed 2500 rpm. |
| t
| The engine should only run as long as absolutely necessary. |
| Proceed as follows for starting engine for first time after filling refrigerant circuit: |
| –
| Start engine with air conditioner compressor switched off and wait until engine idling speed is stable. |
| l
| The warning lamp in the AC button is not on. |
| –
| Open all dash panel vents. |
| Settings at the control unit: |
| l
| Turn rotary knob for temperature regulation to maximum „Cold“ position. |
| l
| The air conditioner compressor is switched on. The warning lamp in the AC button is on. |
| –
| Operate air conditioner compressor with engine running at idling speed for at least 5 minutes. |
