Exhaust refrigerant circuit.
Exhaust refrigerant circuit.
Refrigerant must not be released into the environment. It must be extracted from the refrigerant circuit using extraction equipment or an air conditioner service station. The extracted refrigerant must be reprocessed on site or returned to the manufacturer for environmental friendly disposal (in some countries different or additional regulations may apply). For this reason, transfer the vehicle to a workshop which has the required tools as well as qualified and trained employees for carrying out the repair work → Air conditioning system with refrigerant R134a.
Reason:
If refrigerant R134a escapes into the earth's atmosphere, it contributes towards the greenhouse effect.
  Note
t  The refrigerant R134a contributes a lot less to the greenhouse effect than the refrigerant R12.
t  The refrigerant R134a does not influence the ozone layer in the atmosphere (it is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) and doesn't contain any chlorine atoms). This is because the depletion of the ozone layer in the high atmosphere is caused by the separation of carbon-chlorine bonds (which can be found e.g. in refrigerant R12).
When draining of refrigerant circuit is complete, disconnect the connector from air conditioner compressor regulating valve -N280- or from high-pressure sender -G65-.
