1 - Temperature sender for the left hand side air vent -G150-
q   Not fitted in vehicles with manual climate control
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
2 - Diagnosis connector
q   Finish the air conditioning self-diagnosis → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051
3 - Accelerator control
q   The deactivation of the Climatronic control unit -J255- compressor Kick-Down (through the Compressor regulation valve, air conditioning -N280-) is performed at the request of the engine control unit (information is exchanged over the data bus). The measurement values block for the Climatronic control unit -J255- can be used to check the actual state → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051
4 - Flexible condensation drainage tube
q   Checking, removing and fitting → Chapter
5 - Left seat thermosensor -G59- and left heated seat -Z6-, driver's heated seat back -Z7-
q   Thermal or heated seats are not fitted in every vehicle (optional equipment)
q   Heated seats are controlled by the heated front seats control unit -J774- → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations
q   The activation of the seat heating may be seen in the measurement values block of the Climatronic control unit -J255-, test → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051

6 - Right seat thermosensor -G60- and right heated seat -Z8-,passenger's heated seat back -Z9-

7 - De-icing vent
q   Passenger side window

8 - Left hand side dashboard vent
q   Removing and fitting the dashboard air vent → Chapter and → Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. Gr.70
9 - Instrument panel control unit with indication lamps -J285-
q   With the Outside temperature indicator -G106-
q   The outside temperature emitted by the Climatronic control unit -J255- is displayed.
q   If the temperature reading is incorrect, check the measurement values of the temperature sensors → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051
q   The measurement value from the Outside temperature sensor -G17- is analysed by the Control unit in the instrument panel and transmitted over the comfort system data bus to the Climatronic control unit -J255- → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051
10 - De-icing vent
q   Windscreen

11 - Photosensor for solar radiation -G107- andPhotosensor 2 for solar radiation -G134-

12 - Thermosensor - dashboard -G56-
q   Fitted in the Climatronic control unit -J255-, this cannot be replaced separately
13 - Climatronic control unit -J255-
q   Different versions (with the button OFF, with or without thermal seat regulator, with or without radio / navigation system or radio with large controls panel), allocation → Spare parts catalogue
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
q   The Temperature sensor - Dashboard -G56- is incorporated into the control and indication panel Climatronic control panel -J255-
q   Note the additional instructions for the control and indication panel → Chapter
q   The self-diagnosis of the Climatronic control unit -J255- must be carried out as described in the guided fault finding → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051
q   The illumination of the push buttons and the indication areas is done using LEDs, they may not be replaced
