  Note
t  The operating unit is fitted with a warning lamp that shows the activation of the selected function. Furthermore, the display of the radio or the navigation system shows the selected function when briefly pressing one of the buttons or a controller.
t  In the main menu of the instrument panel, you are able to switch the temperature unit (°C or °F) that appears on the display of the radio or navigation system. The main menu opens via the rocker button on the windscreen wiper lever (or via the multi-function steering wheel). In the next step, select the configuration, units and temperatures.
t  When an Air-conditioning control unit and display, Climatronic -E87- is fitted with a new Climatronic control unit -J255-, the basic setting and adjustment of the „Initial commissioning of the air conditioner compressor“ should be carried out in the guided fault finding or in the guided functions.
   
1 - Button for de-icing the windscreen
2 - Upper air distribution button
3 - Centre air distribution button
4 - Interior temperature sensor
5 - Lower air distribution button
6 - Lower air distribution button
q   Pressing this air recirculation button prevents polluted air from entering the passenger compartment.
7 - Rear window heating button
8 - Right rotary knob for interior temperature
9 - Button for the right seat heating (option)
10 - AC button.
q   You can switch the cooling mode on or off by pressing the AC button.
q   The illuminated control lamp of the button is an indication that the air conditioner compressor is turned on.
11 - DUAL button.
q   When the control lamp of the button illuminates, different temperatures can be set on the left and right sides.
q   By pressing the Dual button, the control lamp goes out and the temperature setting of the drivers side is also taken over on the passengers side.
12 - Blower controller
q   The blower speed is changed by briefly pressing the button.
13 - Automatic climate control button OFF
q   Switching the automatic climate control on and off
14 - AUTO button
q   Pressing AUTO button causes the Climatronic to maintain the selected interior temperature completely automatically. In doing so, it varies the temperature of the air flowing out, the speed of the blower and the air distribution automatically.
15 - Interior temperature control rotary knob
16 - Button for the seat heating (option)
17 - Screen on the display of the radio or radio / navigation system
q   Temperature in the left area
18 - Screen on the display of both areas with the vent outflows
19 - Screen on the display of the radio or radio / navigation system
q   Temperature in the right area
