| q | Depressing this button causes the control unit to select settings to clear the windscreen as quickly as possible. |
| 2 - | AUTO function button |
| q | In automatic mode, the Climatronic maintains the selected interior temperature automatically. With this setting, the vent air temperature, the blower speed and the air distribution are controlled automatically. |
| q | LED lights up when settings are active. |
| q | Pressing the AUTO button again, maintains auto function but, increases blower speed. Second LED lights up. |

| q | Pressing the air recirculation button will prevent polluted air from entering the interior. |
Note| t | Air recirculation is switched on automatically under the following conditions: |
| t | When the windscreen washer system is operated. |
| t | When the air quality sensor -G238- is active. |
| t | When reverse gear is engaged (this function is active only for the first 2 minutes after starting engine). |
| t | Blower speed on operating and display unit for Climatronic air conditioning system -E87- is switched off. |
| t | Operating and display unit for Climatronic air conditioning system -E87-„OFF“. |
| 9 - | AC button |
| q | If the AC button is deactivated, the air conditioner compressor will be set to almost zero delivery. If the AUTO button is activated, heating and ventilation mode will continue to be controlled electronically. |
| 10 - | Heated rear window button |
| q | Depending on ambient temperature, rear window heating will remain on from 4 to 20 minutes. |
| q | LED lights up when settings are active. |
| 11 - | Rotary knob for setting right temperature |
| q | Selected temperature is illuminated. |

| q | Seat heater has 3 heat settings. Current setting is shown by LED. |

| q | When residual heat function is switched on, the residual heat of the engine is pumped by a coolant pump to the heat exchanger. |

| q | Selected speed is shown illuminated. |
| q | In automatic operation, the actual blower speed is displayed. |

| q | Pressing button REAR settings can be made for operating and display unit for rear air conditioning system -E265-. |
