Slide bearing on turbine shaft: separate
   
Slide bearing on turbine shaft: separate
Place the gearbox, in its installation position, on the gearbox oil sump.
–  Remove the torque converter.

–  Position the turbine shaft pin holes -A- horizontally.

–  Stick adhesive tape to the turbine shaft and to the holes to protect the gearbox.

–  Cut through the slide bearing using a saw blade without supporting it on the bearing joint -arrow-.
  Note!
When sawing, ensure shavings do not get into the gearbox.
–  Once sawn through, carefully release the bearing, levering with a screwdriver and without damaging the turbine shaft.
–  Remove the shavings and the adhesive tape.
–  Replace the torque converter oil seal → Chapter.
