Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Socket -T10056-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
–  Remove the injector pump → Chapter
–  Remove the used O-rings very carefully from the injector pump assembly.
–  Above all, ensure that no burrs are formed at the O-ring seats.
Installing
  Note
t  To fit the O-rings, always use the guide sleeves. If they are not used, there is a danger of damaging the O-rings.
t  Pay attention to the correct O-ring and groove correspondence.
t  Fit the O-rings straight, without rotating them. They should not be twisted in the seat of the injector pump unit.
–  Remove the thermal protection joint along with the securing ring.
–  Clean carefully, the contact surfaces of the O-rings in the injection pump.

–  Fit the guide -T10056/1- to the limit on the injector-pump unit.
–  Slide the upper O-ring (the thickest ring) very carefully onto the sleeve and move it into the allotment of the injection pump.
–  Remove the guide sleeve.

–  Fit the guide -T10056/2- to the limit on the injector-pump unit.
–  Slide the centre O-ring (thinner ring) very carefully onto the sleeve and move it into the allotment of the injection pump.
–  Remove the guide sleeve.

–  Fit the guide -T10056/3- to the limit on the injector-pump unit.
–  Slide the lower O-ring very carefully onto the sleeve and move it into the allotment of the injection pump.
–  Remove the guide sleeve.
–  Fit a new heat proof joint along with the securing washer.
