Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Box wrench set for lambda probe -3337-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Adjustment tool -T10055-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Puller -T10208/2-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor.

»Carry out the following work sequence«
Removal:
–  Remove engine cover → Chapter
–  Remove the noise insulation from the injector valves.
–  Injectors (piezo injectors) whose injector seal is to be renewed → Chapter
–  Move affected return lines slightly aside.
Pay attention to cleanliness. No dirt must be allowed to enter the removed fuel return lines or into the open connections on the injector (Piezo injectors).
  Caution
Proceed very carefully to prevent unnecessary dismantling or further damage.
Pay attention to cleanliness. No dirt may get into the injector boreholes on the cylinder head cover.
First remove leaked oil or fuel with workshop equipment.
Remove affected injector seal → Item.
–  After removing, check if the spring is still at hand on the old seal.
If this is not the case, make sure that spring washer does not remain behind.
Installation
  Caution
Proceed very carefully to prevent unnecessary dismantling or further damage.
Remember that the cylinder head cover is made of plastic.
A plastic cylinder head cover is damaged easily during repairs.
Check the cylinder head cover for damage.
–  Insert new injector seal by hand → Item.
Take note: Installation position of the injector seal seat.
Perform remaining installation steps in reverse sequence of removal.
