Crankshaft oil seal - pulley side -: renew > < Dismantling and assembling engine
Engine block, crankshaft and engine flywheel: disassembly and assembly
   
Engine block, crankshaft and engine flywheel: disassembly and assembly
1 - Half bearings 1, 2, 4 and 5
q   Do not interchange used half bearings (mark them)
2 - 65 Nm
3 - Caps
q   Cap “1”: Pulley side
q   Cap “3” with holes for driving washers
q   The clips of the engine block half bearings and caps should match.
4 - Half bearing 3
5 - Driving washer
q   For cap “3”
q   Check mount
6 - Crankshaft
q   Axial play
   New: 0.07 … 0.24 mm
   Wear limit: 0.26 mm
q   Measure the radial play with
   New Plastigage: 0.02 … 0.07 mm
   Wear limit: 0.13 mm
q   When measuring radial play, do not turn the crankshaft
q   Crankshaft dimensions → Chapter
7 - 8 Nm
8 - 60 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°)
q   Renew
9 - Engine flywheel
q   Immobilise with -U-30035- for removal and assembly
10 - Sealing flange with O-ring
q   Always renew the unit.
q   Spare sealing flange: do not additionally lubricate seal lip.
q   The spare sealing flange comes without a gasket, and should be installed with an additional gasket.
q   Install the spare sealing flange with the help of the built-in hose.
11 - Driving washer
q   For engine block, bearing 3
12 - Sealing flange/Duocentric oil pump
q   Remove and install the Duocentric oil pump → Chapter
13 - Oil seal
q   Renew → Chapter
14 - Bushing
15 - Gasket
q   Renew
16 - Element for towing
q   Apply a layer of lubricant before oil pump installation.
