Removing and installing Poly-V belt
t  Removing → Anchor

Removing
   
–  Disconnect activated charcoal reservoir solenoid valve 1 -N80--1- from air duct.
–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove air duct -2-.

Before removing the Poly-V belt, mark the direction of rotation using chalk or a marker. If the belt runs in the opposite direction when it is refitted, this can cause breakage.
–  Release tensions on poly V belt by turning tensioning element in direction indicated by -Arrow-.
–  Take off poly V-belt.

Installing
–  Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

t  Before fitting the Poly-V belt ensure that all sub-assemblies (alternator and air conditioning compressor) are tight.
t  Ensure that poly V belt is positioned correctly and that the direction of rotation is correct.

–  Pivot tensioning device in direction of -Arrow- and install poly V belt.
–  Start engine and check belt running.
