  Note
A needle bearing must be fitted in the crankshaft on vehicles with manual gearbox. Fit it if necessary .
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clamp -VW 207C-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  1 - Internal puller -Kukko 21/1-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  4 - Counter-support -Kukko 22/1-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Depth gauge
Removing
l  Gearbox removed.

–  Remove needle bearing using internal puller -Kukko 21/1- and counter-support -Kukko 22/1-.

Installing
–  Press in needle bearing with pressure tool -VW 207C-.
l  The needle bearing should be mounted in a manner that the inscription found on its side remains visible.

l  Dimension -a- = 1.5 mm
