Toothed belt drive: Assembly overview
1 - Notched belt
q   Mark direction of rotation before removing.
q   Check for wear
q   Do not bend
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
2 - 20 Nm
3 - Guide roller
4 - 50 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn)
5 - Nut, 20 Nm + 45° (1/8 turn)
6 - Tensioning roller
q   To avoid significant damage to the engine apply correct tightening torques
7 - 25 Nm
8 - Camshaft sprocket
9 - Guide roller
10 - 15 Nm
11 - 100 Nm
12 - Hub
q   Use counterhold -T10051- to loosen and tighten
q   To remove, use puller -T10052-.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
13 - 5 Nm
14 - Toothed belt cover (rear)
15 - 20 Nm
16 - 5 Nm
17 - Guide roller
18 - Hub
q   With sender wheel
q   Use counterhold -T10051- to loosen and tighten
q   To remove, use puller -T40064-.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
19 - 100 Nm
20 - High-pressure pump sprocket
21 - Upper protection element for the notched belt
22 - 20 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn)
23 - Coolant pump
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
24 - 15 Nm
25 - Crankshaft sprocket
26 - 120 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn)
q   Replace
q   Use counterhold -3099- to loosen and tighten
q   Do not additionally oil or grease the threads and shoulder.
q   Turning further can be done in several stages.
27 - Notched belt guard - lower part
28 - Notched belt guard - centre part
29 - 10 Nm
30 - Belt pulley and vibration damper
q   Can only be installed in one position, holes are offset.
31 - 10 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn)
q   Replace
