  Note
t  The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is warm. Therefore, this pressure must de reduced before repairing.
t  Hose connections are secured with spring-type clips. In cases of repair, only use spring-type clips.
t  To fit spring type clips use pliers -SAT 1105-.
t  When fitting, route coolant hoses without tension and not touching other components (note marking on coolant connection and hose).
Perform cooling system leakage check with the cooling tester -SAT 1274- and the adapter -VAG 1274/8- and adapter -VAG 1274/9- → Chapter
Bodywork side cooling system components → Chapter.
