Engine oil level: checking
Test requirements
l  The oil level must only be measured when the engine is warm (oil temperature over 60 °C)
l  The vehicle should be on level ground when measuring the oil level. Once engine is switched off, wait a few minutes so that the oil can return to the sump
Test sequence
–  Pull out the oil dipstick, clean it with a clean cloth and reinsert it fully.
–  Then remove the dipstick and check the oil level.

Marks on the dipstick
1 - max. mark
2 - min. mark
a - Zone between upper ridge of marked area and max. mark: do not add oil
b - The level is found in the marked area: oil may be added
c - Zone between lower edge of marked area and min. mark: add at least 0.5 l of oil
The oil level must not go above the max. mark on the dipstick
