| When the engine is hot the cooling system is under pressure. If necessary, release pressure before beginning repair work. |

| Hose clip pliers -VAS 6340- or spring-type clip pliers -VAS 6499- are recommended for installation of spring-type hose clips., |

| Replace seals and gaskets. |

| The arrow markings on the coolant pipes and on the ends of the hoses must be aligned with each other. |
