Oil filter bracket with oil cooler: Removing and installing t  Removing → Anchor t  Fitting → Anchor t  Tightening torques → Anchor Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Pliers -VAS 6340-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Hose clamp -3094-, see equivalent → Anchor t  Oil extraction unit -VAG 1782- t  Extractor -T10118- t  Drip tray

Removing –  Detach the outer -1- and inner -2- engine covers, by pulling them evenly upwards.

–  Remove the electrical connector -5- from the air mass meter -G70-. –  Remove the ventilation hose -1- and loosen the bracket -2- of the air duct hose -3-. –  Separate the air hose -6- and the flexible air hose -8-. –  Unscrew bolt -7- and remove air filter housing.

–  Unscrew air duct at lock carrier -arrows-.

–  Remove the centre noise insulation, fastening points -1 … 3- → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. Gr.50.

–  Detach the coolant hoses on the oil cooler using the hose clamps up to Ø 25 mm -3094- and remove them -arrows-.

–  Screw out bolts -arrows-. –  Pull the guide tube for oil dipstick upwards out of cylinder block.

–  Unplug electrical connector -1- from the oil pressure switch. –  Remove oil pressure switch -2-. –  Unscrew the oil delivery tube coupling nut -3- and the securing bolt -4- from its housing.

–  Unplug the electrical connector -arrow- on the engine speed sender -G28-. –  Keep the electrical wires on the cable retainer on the side.

–  Screw out bolts -arrows-. –  Remove the oil filter bracket. Installing Fit in reverse order from removal, remembering the following:   Note t  Replace gaskets, seals and O-rings. t  Secure all hose connections with the correct hose clips (original parts) → ETKA (Electronic parts catalogue). –  Refill coolant or replace it, if the oil radiator has been replaced . –  Checking the engine oil level → Chapter Tightening torques
