Note! t
Use only TL VW 774 D standard antifreeze G12. It is distinguishable by the red colour.
t
Never mix G12 with other antifreezes.
t
If the liquid in the expansion tank is brown, that means the G12 has been mixed with other antifreeze, in which case all the coolant must be changed.
t
G12 and the antifreeze additives with the indication “TL VW 774 D standard” prevent damage from corrosion, freezing or scale, also increasing the coolant boiling temperature. Therefore, the cooling system should always have the prescribed antifreeze and corrosion protection fluid.
t
Because of its high boiling point, the coolant improves engine reliability under heavy loads, particularly in countries with tropical climates.
t
Protection against frost should be assured to approximately -25°C (in countries with arctic climates to approximately -35°C).
t
The coolant concentration must not be reduced by adding water, even in warmer seasons and warmer countries. The antifreeze ratio must be at least 40%.
t
If, for climatic reasons, a greater frost protection is required, the amount of G12 can be increased, but only up to 60% (frost protection up to -40°C), as otherwise frost protection and cooling effectiveness is reduced again.
t
Do not use the used coolant if any of the following has been replaced: the radiator, the heat changer, the cylinder head or the cylinder head gasket.
