| The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is hot; the pressure must be reduced before the reparation. |

| The hose connections are secured with strip clamps. In the event of reparation, use only strip clamps. |
| t
| To install the strip clamps, pliers -T20029- are recommended. |
| t
| The coolant hoses should be fitted without stresses and without touching components (check the indicating mark on the coolant connection and on the hose). |
| Test the cooling system for leakage with the -V.A.G 1274- or -SAT 1274- and the adaptor -V.A.G 1274/3-. |
